Affinity Counselling Practice

Sunset

We are a group of person-centred counsellors (both male and female) based in South Chailey, East Sussex (6 miles from Lewes). We offer counselling for individuals, both adults and young people over 10 years old.

We help people who are struggling with difficult issues in their everyday lives.
It is easy sometimes to lose touch with what is really important in life due to the pressure placed upon us or simply because of the pace of life.

Our aim is to support you in gaining a greater understanding of what it is to be you and how to create positive changes in your life.

We offer services to individuals dealing with a range of issues including but not limited to:

  • young people (10+)
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • stress
  • trauma
  • bereavement, grief and loss support
  • alcohol and drug misuse
  • knowing and understanding yourself
  • loss of identity (e.g. cultural)
  • the problems of being a carer
  • life transitions
  • relationship or family difficulties
  • coping with long term illness

About our practice

Between us, we have experience in many areas of counselling work, such as bereavement, carer’s support, mental health, working with the dying and working with survivors of emotional, psychological, sexual and physical abuse. We have backgrounds in a variety of settings including educational, voluntary, NHS, as well as the financial and social services.

We each hold a Diploma in Person- Centred Counselling and are all individual members of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy (BACP). As such, we are bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.
